Using a passkey instead of a password
Why passkeys are safer than passwords and how to set one up in 30 seconds.

A passkey replaces your password with biometrics (Face ID, fingerprint) or a hardware key. It is the single most effective change you can make to protect your account — phishing-resistant by design.
Why passkeys are better than passwords
- They cannot be stolen by a phishing site — the key only works on the real Xiaomi Crowd Trading domain.
- You can’t accidentally reuse them across sites.
- You don’t have to remember them.
- They sync across your Apple / Google / Microsoft devices automatically.
Setting one up
- 1Open Account → Security → Passkeys.
- 2Tap “Add a passkey.”
- 3Approve with your device’s biometric or PIN.
- 4You’re done. The next time you sign in, you’ll use Face ID / fingerprint instead of a password.
